Who We Are
Pioneering Air Conditioning to a Whole New Level
Advanced Thermodynamics, Inc. (ATD) is a cutting-edge engineering company specializing in developing innovative heat transfer solutions. Our expertise lies in creating highly efficient Liquid Refrigerant Subcooling devices that optimize heat transfer and energy utilization for a wide range of applications.

Invented
On a hot summer day in 1902, in Buffalo, NY, Willis Carrier invents modern day air conditioning as we know it.

Reinvented
In 2024 ATD revolutionizes modern air conditioning as we know it, by maximizing your current HVAC system’s performance and efficiency.

Engineering
Here at ATD we are engineering better ways to make your current and future HVAC systems perform at new levels of comfort and efficiency.

Technology
At ATD we have designed a Liquid Refrigerant Subcooler that contains NO controls or moving mechanical parts and requires NO electricity or water to run. And, our Subcoolers are 100% Made in the USA!

Advanced
ATD has engineered refrigeration technology into modern day air conditioning. With our Patented Stage 1 through 3 designs, we have seen liquid refrigerant temperature drops of up to 80F.

Energy Efficiency
ATD’s Stage 1 through 3 Subcoolers have increased cooling BTU capacity up to 40%, humidity removal up to 30% [the Dominator description says humidity was reduced by up to 30%], and SEER by up to 47%. We can also custom build Subcoolers for Residential and Commercial HVAC systems.
Liquid Subcooling
Liquid sub cooling refers to the process of cooling a liquid below its saturation temperature, without it undergoing a phase change.
It’s typically achieved by removing additional heat from a liquid refrigerant after it has fully condensed.
Subcooling helps increase the efficiency and effectiveness of air conditioning systems by ensuring that the refrigerant remains in its liquid state as it enters the expansion device, which can improve system performance and reliability.
